NORTHWEST JUNIOR FLYERS CLUB

Here is an incredible group of young flyers, and a chance to help them truly make a difference in our sport today.  Tim Tessier, of Florence Precision in Leeds, MA has organized a Junior Pigeon Club that has grown in only a few short years to become one of the premier Junior clubs in the country.

Every year, this terrific group of young boys and girls pool their talents to have a fund raiser, helping to continue the tradition that Tim has started.  The growth of this club can be attributed in part to one very special item - their Loaner Loft Program.  The Northwest Junior Flyers have over 25 "loaner" pigeon lofts, measuring 4' x 4' x 6', that they give out to any new prospective member.  It is just that - loaned - and the new flyer promises to be racing pigeons by their second year in the club.  Of course, most kids have a hard time waiting that long!

This year, the kids will be having their annual fund raiser on April 5th, 2009 in Haydenville, MA.  Their goal is to raise more money so that they can continue to build and deliver more loaner lofts, and therefore bring even more new, young recruits to our great sport.  Can anyone think of a better cause to support 100%?  I don't think so.   Every club or person I have ever visited or spoken with talks about the need to get more young kids involved in our sport.  Here we have a bunch of kids doing what most of the adults only talk about doing!  It's incredible, and I urge - no I CHALLENGE - each person reading this to do whatever you have to do to support this effort.

Please contact Tim Tessier by email at florenceprecision@verizon.net and let him know how you can help.  You can also call him if you need to, at (work)413-586-6611 or at home at 413-296-4359.

They need young birds for an auction, breeders for their auction and door prizes or just plain ol' CASH!!!  Every single bit helps.

If you choose to mail birds, please do so to one of the following flyers.  No birds before March 23, 2009, please.
